Anna Marie Bilchak, "Ann," 96, of Portage, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2021, at Amber Hills at Cambria Care Center. She was the widow of John "Shorty" Bilchak.
Ann was the daughter of Viola Haschak (Joseph Haschak) and George McClelland. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Portage.
She is survived by son, George Chernisky and wife, Sandra; daughter, Kathy Gartland, and husband, John; and John Bilchak, and wife, Karen. Ann's grandchildren include John Henry Gartland (wife, Marisa), Jeff Chernisky (wife, Jennifer), Craig Gartland (wife, Michele), Anna Hall (husband, Luke), Steven Chernisky, Matthew Bilchak (wife, Sarah) and Jared Bilchak (wife, Gabrielle). Great-grandchildren include Lexie, Skylar, Sam, Five, Caden, August, Grady, Noah, Lucy, Dominic, Levi, Sophia and Finley. She was also survived by sister, Louise whom she always called "Babe."
Funeral arrangements are private per Ann's request. Memorial donations can be sent in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Hospital.
