Obituary for Walter S. Cyran
Cyran, Walter S., 75, Portage, died May 15, 2024 at home . He was born January 6, 1949 in Johnstown the son of Walter G. and Julia (Evanisko) Cyran. Preceded in death by his parents, and in laws Thomas and Mary Mitchell, and his beloved pets: Patches, Buffy, Amber, Emma, Abby, Sophie, Lucy, Bailey, Ebony and Molly. Survived by his devoted wife of 53 years the former Deborah L. Mitchell and his faithful Golden Retrievers, Libby and Hazel. Brother of Joseph (Becky) Cyran and Richard Cyran both of Lilly, PA. Walter served his country as a member of the US Air Force where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was employed at US Steel for twelve years prior to becoming the owner and operator of Walter S. Cyran Construction Company located in Portage. At Walters request a memorial service will be held at a later date. The Cyran family is being served by the Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Portage.
