Obituary for Vincent T. Arena

Arena, Vincent T., 62, Johnstown, passed away April 21, 2021 at Forest Hills Personal Care Home with his loving wife by his side. Born September 8, 1958 in Pittsburgh, the son of Philip and Mary (Katich) Arena. Preceded in death by his parents, mother and father- in law, Julia and Thomas Vandzura, brother in law John T. Vandzura. Survived by his wife of 31 years the former Theresa M. Vandzura; brother Philip (Kathy) of Pittsburgh; sister Maria (Scott) of Philadelphia; his godson and nephew Philip (Angela), niece Kasey (Cory) and great nephew and niece Chase and Madeline. Vince graduated from North Hills High School and worked as an inspector and supervisor for road construction until his medical retirement. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. Vince was a fan of all Pittsburg sports teams, and an avid bowler having had a 299 game and bowled 3-300 games. Friends received from 3-7 Pm Sunday at the Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Portage. Funeral Mass 10:30 AM, Monday, St. Michael Catholic Church, Msgr. David Lockard, celebrant. Committal St. Mary’s Cemetery, Portage. Due to Covid-19 restrictions mask and social distancing are required, the family understands if you are unable to attend and ask that you think of a happy thought of Vince during these times. Memorial contributions may be made to Portage Area Ambulance Association in appreciation for their transportation services when needed or to Portage Volunteer Fire Company.
