Obituary for Veronica A. (Gdula) Maslar
Maslar, Veronica A. (Gdula) , 89, Beaveerdale, passed away April 17, 2019. Born 10/28/1929 in Dunlo the daughter of Peter J. and Katherine (Ondesko) Gdula. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Victor M. Maslar, brothers: John, George, and Michael and sisters: Ann Gordon, Mary Motyka, Helen Gdula and Margaret Tomecko. Survived by daughters: Eugenia Krestar of Sidman; Veronica wife of Robert Bonfanti of Greensburg; Katherine wife of Gary Bunting of Erie, PA; Mary Kuzilla of Dunlo, Patricia Plishka of Fishersville, VA; and Teresa Maslar of Bradford. Grand children: Loretta and Thomas Kuzilla, Marie and Michael Plishka, Richard, Brenda and Cheryl Krestar, Adam and Rachel Bonfanti, Emily Ramirez, Lynette North, Caroline and Maggie Moore. Great Grand children: JaeChelle Blue, Caitlyn and Jacob Handel, Rocco and Evelyn Ramirez, and Tessa North. Veronica worked at Sears in the accounting department and served as Secretary/Treasurer for Summerhill Township. She was a branch officer for the First Catholic Slovak Union and a life time board member of the Beaverdale Public Library She also served as a census taker and on the election board. Veronica loved spending time with her family, sewing, baking, gardening, and fostered in her daughters an appreciation for the great outdoors. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling, going to Bingo and casinos. “Mum”, “Baba” will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Due to Holy Week family and friends are ask to gather at 1 PM Saturday at St. Joseph Cemetery, Beaverdale for her Committal Service. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers family ask contributions be made to Beaverdale Public Library. Family being served by Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Beaverdale.
