Obituary for Ray W. Howell

Howell, Ray W., 85,Beaverdale.Known to may as "Pete".  Died peacefully October 31, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was born October 30, 1937 in Beaverdale the son of William and Clara (Stigers) Howell. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Jean C. ( McCloskey) Howell and siblings, Faye Dallara and Kenneth Howell. Survived by his three children: Kelly (William)Steen of Salix, PA; Rayna Novak( Rannell Jones) of Langhorn, PA ; and Ray W.(Deborah) Howell, Jr. of Johnstown. Ray moved back to Beaverdale after spending 20 years in the United States Air Force to be with his loving siblings; Maye Rusnak, Patsy Rusnak, Leah Howell and Dwight Howell. Ray was able to share his love of life with his grand and great grandchildren: Tony Howell (Gianna Romano) father to Justice and Parker; Danielle (Steve) Soltis mother to Addison and Austin; Joshua Novak (Jennifer Jackson) ; Matthew Novak (Joanna White) father to Miles and Weston; Breanna (Tink) Gohn mother to Callan Ray; Brian Anderson (fiancé Tiffany St. Clair) father to Elias and Tiffany’s children Henry, Juliette and Amara; Ray Michael Howell; Robert William Howell ; and Autumn Lee Howell mother to Eli Herdman. Ray enjoyed sharing his life recently with special friend Nancy Sherbine. During his time in the USAF Ray met many friends but held dear to his heart Diz Desadier from Houston, TX. He was a member of the Wilmore Sportsmen’s, Dunlo Rod and Gun Club, and the Beaverdale American Legion. Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Beaverdale where service will be held at 11 AM Thursday. Interment Dunlo United Methodist Cemetery.
