Obituary for M. Elaine Kachmar
Kachmar, M. Elaine, Lloydell, entered into new life February 12, 2019 at Amber Springs Nursing Center. Born July 4, 1927 in Gary, IN, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Singel) Kachmar. Preceded in death by her parents, sister, Evelyn Smolar, sister in law Maxine Kachmar, nephews; Robert Kachmar, Jr. and Michael Kachmar. Survived by her brothers: Michael of Beaverdale ; David of Johnstown; Robert (Sharon) of Johnstown; and sister Patricia (Curtis) Costlow of Johnstown. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Elaine worked at CBW Credit Union prior to retiring. She was active in her church and it’s Altar Rosary Society. At Elaine’s request there will be no visitation. Family and friends are ask to attend the Funeral Liturgy to be celebrated at 11 AM Friday at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Fr. James Spontak, Celebrant. Committal will be at Saints Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Dunlo. In lieu of flowers family ask contributions to Interim Hospice. The family would also like to thank the staff of Interim Hospice for the compassionate help and care.
