Corrente, Lois (Ducky) A. (Ronan), Portage, PA, age 85, died August 10, 2017 at Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg, PA. She was born August 31, 1931 in Johnstown, PA. Daughter of William and Elizabeth (McCann) Ronan. She married Russell J. Corrente (deseased) in 1955. Preceded in death by brothers: Joseph Ronan, William Ronan, Charles Ronan, and Robert Ronan. Survived by SISTER: Elizabeth (Butch) Basile; CHILDREN: Kimberly (Allen Byrne), Colette (Gary Gouse), Lisa (Steve Donovan), Russell Scott (Patty Chippo), and William (Bettina Wingard); GRANDCHILDREN: Megan Brown, Gabrielle Bilchak, Benjamin Donovan, Naomi Donovan, Corbin Corrente, Connor Corrente, Courtland Corrente, Brielle Corrente, and Tristan Corrente; GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Emma Brown, Elizabeth Brown, Noah Bilchak, and Dominic Bilchak.
Ducky was a lover of life and very proud of her Irish heritage. She was also a music lover who along with, “Butch” her sister and best friend would always say, “We can sing a song about that”! Most of all Ducky was a devoted wife and mother whose main goal in life was to create the happiest home possible and teach her children what was most important in life. Her unbeatable spirit, coupled with her faith in God made her the finest representative of “THE GREATEST GENERATION”.
There will be no public viewing at Ducky’s request. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service at Holy Family Catholic Church in Portage on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Garvey Manor. SEE YA On The MANTRIP, Ducky….
