Obituary for Lester L. Ross
Ross, Lester L., 94, Mineral Point, Entered into new life March 10, 2019 at home. Born August 10, 1924 in Beaverdale the son of Clell and Effie (Coleman) Ross. Preceded in death by his parents, wife the former Clara B Hokie, son Dennis, grandson Mike, brothers Harold, Lloyd and Ivan and sisters Anna Bell Stombaugh, Jean Kroskie, and Emma Stormer. He is survived by his sons, Allen of Texas and Ron of Indiana, one grand child, four great grand children and three great great grandchildren. Brother of Waide (Gertie) Ross of Summerhill. Numerous nieces and nephews .Lester was an Army Veteran of WWII serving in the European Theater. He was the recipient of two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart. He was a life member of the VFW and the American Legion. Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Portage where service will be held Thursday 10 AM, Chaplain Stephanie Betsa officiating. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery. Military graveside rites by the members of the Portage Ritual Team. The family would like to thank the staff of Interim Home Care and Hospice for their loving compassionate care.
