Obituary for Karin E. Jones
Jones, Karin Elizabeth, 69, passed away at her home in Armagh surrounded by her loving family. Born May 23, 1954 in Windber the daughter of John and Ruth (Pearce) Jones. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Stephen “Paul” Nardecchia, sister Kim Ward, great niece Lily Nicole Sossong and beloved canine companion Buddy. Surviving are her brothers, Kevin (Brenda) Jones of Mt. Hope and John (Dolores) Jones of Meeker, CO. Also surviving is her loving fiancé Tim Ault of Armagh, step daughter Debra Nardecchia of Indiana and sister in law Shirley (Greg) Confer of Harrisburg, nephew Brian (Kelly) Jones of Johnstown, special niece Kristy (Chad) Sossong of Mt. Hope, nephews Mathew (Amy) and Andrew (Megan) both of Wyoming, great nieces and nephews: Layla, Dominic, Bella, Mia and Duke. Karin loved her conversations with her special cousin Sharon (Mitz) Valinsky. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed spending time at her cottage along the Juniata River with family and friends. She will be missed by Nate her rescue dog. Karin was a 1972 graduate of Forest Hills High School and a member of Dunlo United Methodist Church. She was employed at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center for 44 years. Friends received Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 3 PM until time of service at 7 PM at the Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Beaverdale. Inurnment will be at Dunmyer Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to thank her wonderful and compassionate caregiver, Jamie Barber.
