Obituary for Joyce E. Vickroy
Vickroy, Joyce E. (Irwin), 77, Portage entered into new life June 3, 2019 at Maple Winds Care Center. Born May 26, 1942 Johnstown the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothea (Polster) Irwin. Survived by her husband of 57 years Karl D. Vickroy, Sr. and these children: Karl D. Jr. married to the former Carmella Smith of Portage; Wendy wife of Alan Troutman of Sunberry, PA; and Stacy Vickroy of Wilmore. Grandchildren: Barrett Wagner, III; Nichole Wagner; Kayla Radcliffe; Karl Vickroy, III; and Zachary Vickroy. Also 10 great grandchildren. Her step brother Ray Wegley of Johnstown also survives. Joyce held a Masters Degree. She served the Portage Area School District for 31 years as both a reading specialist and third grade teacher. She is a member of PASR. Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Portage where service will be held 11 AM Friday, Rev Jeff Blackburn, officiating. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, South Fork.
