Obituary for John P. Weld
Weld, John P., 88, Sidman entered into new life March 13, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. Born February 28, 1933 in Pittsburgh the son of John H. and Margaret J (Bloom) Weld. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Mildred M. (Woollaston) Weld who passed away August 7, 2014. Survived by his children Betty Jean wife of Tim Fyock of Sidman and John married to the former Nancy Block of Johnstown. Also surviving are his grandchildren Amanda (Erik) Martin, Christopher Weld and Carissa Weld and great granddaughter Alexis Noon. John retired from Luther P. Miller Oil Co. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of the Dunlo United Methodist church where he served as a dedicated long term member of the Cemetery Committee. Friends received from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM Thursday March 18,2021 at the Dunlo United Methodist Church. Reverends’ Ed Wagner and Don Krestar officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers family ask contributions be made to Dunlo United Methodist Church. The Weld family is being served by Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Beaverdale, PA.
