Obituary for James R. Meden, Sr.
Meden, James R., Sr. 74, Beaverdale. Jim left this earth on June 21, 2022 at home surrounded by his family and is now resting in the company of the angels. He was born June 25, 1947 in Johnstown the son of Joseph A. and Margaret (Krupa) Meden. Preceding him in death are his parents and brother Joseph A. Jr. Surviving are his wife of 47 years the former Barbara Krupka and his loving children: James R. Jr. married to the former Melissa Campbell of Beaverdale; Tiffany L. Meden of Windber; and Jeffrey A. Meden of Windber. He was a special pappy to Lauryl Leach, Grant Meden, and Conor Meden. Also surviving is his sister Johanna wife of Joseph Papcun of Beaverdale, and a special loving devoted niece Cindy Krupka whom he considered his second daughter, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was an Army veteran of the Vietnam era, retired as a supervisor for the US Postal Service. He was a member of the Summerhill Twp. Vol. Fire Dept with 52 years of service; American Legion Post 460; Dunlo Rod and Gun Club, Brookside Sportsmen’s, Central District Firemen’s Association. Jim loved to play softball, golf and poker. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. Friends received Friday June 24, 2022 from 11 AM until time of service 6 PM at the Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Beaverdale, PA In lieu of flowers family requests contributions to the Summerhill Twp. Vol. Fire Dept.
