Kwiatkowski, Helen (Rostochak), 101, Portage formerly of Johnstown. Died February 10, 2024. She was born November 04, 1922 in Johnstown the daughter of George and Anna (Potutski) Rostochak. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward and 10 siblings. Surviving are her sons, Edward (Connie) of Chagrin Falls, OH, and Dennis (Marcie) of Portage. Grandchildren: Michael, Michelle, Kevin (Jennifer), Jennifer (Jeremy), Jeffrey, and ten great grandchildren. Sister of Margaret Johnson and Michael Rostochak. Also surviving is her extended family Dominique, Tanner, Teagan, and Rory, and numerous nieces and nephews Helen loved life in general, enjoyed bowling, playing BINGO, the church trips to a casino. She had a great sense of humor and was a prankster. She worked at the War Memorial Arena and retired from Kopriva’s Market. During WWII while her husband was serving his country she drove a streetcar in Johnstown. She was a member of Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Adoration Society and where she loved working as part of the “Pierogi Ladies". Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday February 14, 2024 at the Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Portage, where Vigil Service will be held Wednesday evening. Funeral Mass 11 AM Thursday at Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church, Johnson Ave. Portage. Fr. John Nesbella, celebrant. Interment church cemetery. In lieu of flowers family ask contributions be made to Windber Hospice or Holy Cross Church. The family would also like to thank Windber Hospice, St. Jude’s Haven, and Just Like Home for the loving care they provided.
