Thomas, Duwayne C. , 65, Beaverdale passed away May 30,2021 in the comfort of his home surrounded by family. He was born June 17, 1955 in Johnstown the son of Charles and Shirley (Robb) Thomas. Preceded in death by his father. Survived by his mother, wife of 45 years the former Karen Bopp and sons Jason married to the former Rebecca Hoffman and Brian married to the former Carissa Simmons; four grandchildren and one soon to be great grandchild. Brother of Donald, Matthew (Pam), and Carolee. Also surviving are nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, his best friend John Jamison and his faithful canine companion Amara. Duwayne retired from Leman Machine Co., was an avid Steeler fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Friends received from 11 am until time of memorial service 1 PM Saturday June 5, 2021 at the Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Beaverdale. The family would like to thank Dr. Awon, Windber Hospice and his nurse Marie. In lieu of flowers family ask contributions be made to Windber Hospice.
