Obituary for Douglas P. Zaher
Zaher, Douglas P., 63, Edgewater, FL, formerly of Portage. Died September 18, 2020. Born June 1. 1957 in Johnstown the son of Joseph and Julie (Lutz) Zaher. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Ron and niece Nikki Thrower. Doug is survived by his son, Andrew of Glenn Falls, NY; sister Lorraine wife of Layton “Cupp” Thrower of Portage and sister in law Anne Zaher of NJ; nephews Greg (Cathy) Thrower and Eric Thrower both of Portage, and best friends Brian and Linda Bobolsky of Portage. He graduated from Portage Area High School and attained his BS degree in accounting from St. Francis College. Doug was an avid Steeler fan and loved to fish on the Hudson River. Inurnment will be at St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Wilmore at the convenience of the family. The family is being served by Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Portage.
