Zearfoss, Bessie R. (Cordwell) “Boots”, 81, entered into new life June 20, 2022 at home. Born August 8, 1940 in Portage Twp. the daughter of Thomas R. and Bessie (Wills) Cordwell. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband James H. Zearfoss, sons, James J. and Alan W. Zearfoss and granddaughter Amanda Weigle, siblings: Leroy Cordwell, Pearl Maul, and Lillian Wagner. Surviving are her children Karen (Paul) Maul of Portage, PA, and George (Becky) Zearfoss of Nanty Glo, PA. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Her family was her world. She loved to cook and taking care of people, she especially loved traveling with her sisters. Friends received from 10 AM until time of service 11 AM Thursday June 23, 2022 at the First Lutheran Church, Portage. Inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers family ask contributions be made to First Lutheran Church, Portage, PA. The Zearfoss family is being served by the Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Portage.
