ANN CATHERINE PROFAIZER
Born in Llanfair (Dunlo), PA. June 24, 1916
Wife of the late Attillio Profaizer
Daughter of the late Nicholas and Antonia (Dudek) Kozar
Survived by children Virginia Shaw, Frederick, MD; Jeannette Gomolcak and husband Jerome, Edison, NJ; Sally Selepak and husband Robert, Hedgesville, WV.
Also grandchildren Keri Kolbay, West Bradford, PA and Frank Gomolcak, Las Vegas, Nevada.
Great grandchildren Tyler Martin and Jessica and Liam Kolbay.
Proceeded in death by granddaughter Gina Lea Martin, sister Elizabeth Andrykovitch, brothers Mike, Steve, John and Joseph Kozar and nephews Steve Kozar, Daniel Kozar and niece Joan Kozar.
Survived by nieces Anna Marie Brence, Nancy Scheller, Kathryn Pettorini, Michele Zanella, Patricia Freidhoff and nephews Paul Kozar and John & Richard Kozar.
She was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union, Lodge 5 and worked many years at Bestform in Windber. She loved to crochet afghans for family and friends. She could never follow a pattern but created the pattern by just looking at a finished product. She also enjoyed cooking, Sudoku and gardening.
Her last years were spent in a memory care facility at Providence Place of Chambersburg where she was closer to her daughters, granddaughter and great grandchildren who enjoyed visiting her.
Ann had a wonderful 100 year birthday celebration with family and friends at Providence Place. Her 101 birthday was also celebrated at Providence Place. Even with a diagnosis of Alzheimer, Ann retained her sense of humor up to the end. She provided her family with many memorable stories including some from the last years with the staff at Providence Place. Ann lived a full and wonderful life; she will be missed by all who knew her.
Friends will be received from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Friday, October 27 and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday October 28 at the Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home in Beaverdale, PA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Beaverdale Library.
