Geraldine (Gerri) Smith 91 Sidman went with the LORD,October 19, 2017. Born October 28, 1925. Daughter of Big Jim and Blanche Chapman of Beaverdale. Preceded in death by parents. brothers Dwayne, Cecil and Leroy sister Maxine Buige. Survived by children: Linda D Smith (Portage) Debbie Zimmerman (Portage) Clyde Smith (Sidman) and Carol Smith (Sidman), Grandchildren: Kimberly Trout (Portage) Clyde R. II (Clarion) and Shawn Smith (Portage) Great Grand Child John Fredrick Trout also survived by sisters Leona Farabaugh (Elyria) Shirley Neri (Lorain) brothers Melvin (Florida) and David Chapman (Maryland) as well as Richard Rodgers and Amanda Penrod; part of the family. Gerri retired from Laurel Crest as a Dietary aide in 1988. She enjoyed the simple joys in life such as drive-ins, picnics and family gatherings. She vacationed to Florida with her sisters as a tradition for the last 25 years. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. Friends will be received at the Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Beaverdale Saturday and Sunday @ 2-4 and 6 -8. Funeral Services will be Monday11:00am Maple Grove Church of the Brethren, Bill Weinert officiating. Interment Dunmyer Cemetery
